Basic Question about Shutter Speed

My second day learning about shooting video on a D4. Just want to make sure that if I'm shooting at 24FPS, my shutter speed should be set at twice that amount or 1/50 sec. This means that I would be using Shutter Priority or Manual. Correct? Any particular aperture I should be using? I figure probably should use f/8 to ensure sharpness. Thanks for taking the time to answer these very basic questions.
