Hi there,

I found one part of Darrell Young's book confusing, regarding external microphones. Now, we can set the sensitivity of the on camera mic to auto, high, medium, low (and off).

But when it comes to using an external microphone (I'm using a Sennheiser G2 wireless), does those sensitivity setting affect the sound recorded?

Normally is shouldn't on other cameras unless the menu setting is designed to do something to the external source, for example attenuate it, but in this case, the book isn't clear.

Also, how does Auto sensitivity work? Does it adjust from high to low on the fly, as needed to prevent clipping?

Thanks for your advice.
