I just got my D7000 kit with the 18-105 last week, upgraded from a D5000. I am thoroughly impressed, although I went out for a couple hours the other day and none of the photos were in focus and the camera had problems focusing. I'll have to do some more work on that.

I have a couple of questions.

Is it me or is does the lens hood barely stay on? I have a 55mm-200mm that I bought for the D5000 and it's the same way. The hood doesn't seem to snap into place and I'm afraid of it falling off while walking around.

Am I right with the assumption that I can use most any Nikon AF lens with this camera?

It is a great camera.

Reed
