Sorry if this has already been discussed but did not find it on a search.

How does using the 2nd SD slot for backup impact the ability of the D7000 Relative to it's frame rate? I will be getting mine on Tuesday and was going to use the following setup for the slots:

Slot #1 32GB Class 10 SD Card For JPG and NEF
Slot #2 64GB Class 4 SD Card Backup

Not sure that I will use the video function much at this point as have a dedicated Video Camera.

Will having the Class 4 SD as the backup slow down my frame rate? I do not shoot sports, mostly nature, sometimes wildlife if I am very lucky.

Will using the 2nd slot as a backup, regardless of speed, slow down frame rate?

Just not sure how the back-up is being handled by the camera and would appreciate any knowledge from current owners.

Thanks,

Chuck Queen
