>Now, Should I just hold off until Nikon comes out with the >Next Batch, to see if they fixed the Pixel issue?
Nikon have already "fixed" the video bright pixel issue, with a downloadable firmware update. Whilst the latest firmware might come pre-installed in the near future, it's no problem to install it yourself.
I see no reason to wait, if you can get one now at an acceptable price
If your Ritz store is like most of them, they will gladly show you the camera. Another side benefit from buying from them is that they offer their customers free camera classes that can be found on www.ritzcamerauniversity.com. Just go to that site and enter a location near you and it will show the course outline. Good luck.
Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. <><
really there is nothing wrong with a 18-105 "KIT" lens, they really do a good job if you do not want to "WAIT" for a body only. I jumped at the chance to get the kit one now from Best Buy after searching the local area for a body only and not finding any in Tampa, I am extremely pleased with it,
Update: I just got the D7000 kit and the battery is charging. I'm so glad that I got the kit. The 18-105 VR is much better built than I expected - made in Thailand as with the D7000. I needed a light mid-range zoom with VR and there is nothing made by Nikon or a third party that interests me. Therefore, I have the 18-105 until a new zoom is released, which might take a year, two, or more. The 18-105 seems to be a great purchase (I do not know about optically, yet.) One thing I know, the reviewers are out to lunch. What they expect of a zoom with VR for $300? The Summilux 21mm or the 14-24?
I was able to get the body only at Service Photo in Maryland: http://www.servicephoto.com. I didn't know about this place until I read about it in another Nikonians post. I suggest calling them rather than trying to order online and tell them what you want. They were extremely helpful and easy to work work with excellent packaging and fast service. I've had my D7000 since the first week in January and really love it.
Glad to hear that, Mine arrives tomorrow. My Sandisk Extreme pro cards arrived today..So, I'm ready... It's going to be a heel of a day waiting for the UPS truck tomorrow...
I worked the weekend in order to be home to sign for and recieve my Pkg tomorrow..

I just picked mine up from my local Ritz yesterday (Monday). I ordered it the Thursday before so I didn't have to wait long. They let me open it up and gave me a charged battery so I can power it up and make sure it was all good. Even let me use a couple of lenses. I normally don't care that much for Ritz... at least their store fronts, but in this case I had a very good experience.
