Picture Control setting while shooting RAW

I recently read (or misread) that while shooting in RAW, one might as well choose Standard picture control (vs. Vivid) since the RAW image will most likely be enhanced in post.

Is this accurate? Are the other picture controls mostly for JPEGs? Is there any reason NOT to shoot RAW in Vivid?
