Well, I have gotten my d7000 my 35mm 1.8 to give sharp images at an AF fine tune of -13.
My 85mm 1.8, however, requires -20, and could actually use a bit more.
My question is are there adjustments that can be made either to the camera itself to reduce back focus, or alternatively, to the lens itself to reduce it?
Not very interested in attempting this myself for obvious reasons, and the body is still under KEH warranty.

Sounds like your body tends toward the - side of the AF Fine Tune, although this is not a sure thing with just two data points. You might want to take this up with KEH as they can probably arrange some adjustment. Do you have other lenses to try, especially faster ones?

The only other lenses I have are the 18-55 and 55-200 kit lenses, which are more or less ok, although I haven't done a qualified test of either.
I have no faster lenses.
I think I'll send it off to KEH and see if they can do some adjustment to the body. Somewhere I read of a hex screw adjustment of the focusing mirror, but I'm not about to muck with such things, especially since I do not find any real information about it.
That was mostly my question: Can the back focusing be adjusted by properly trained techs?
