I've jut upgraded from a D5100 to a D7100, and I never thought I would find something missing on the D7100, but I have discovered that its Info screen does not rotate when the camera is being held in the portrait orientation, as it did on the D5100.
I can't seem to find any setting for this, but I was wondering if the display automatically rotates if you install an MB-D15 and use the controls on the grip?

Thanks for confirming that I'm not missing something, though I'm surprised at the lack of rotation. Yes, there are two display to choose from on the D7100, but neither of them is correctly oriented for easy reading when the camera is being used in portrait orientation.

I personally find it more annoying when a screen rotates when I'm trying to change a setting at something other than what it wants (especially on my phone), to the point I have auto-rotate off. I can read the screen for what symbol or value I need. Usually, my eye is to the viewfinder, anyways!
