Temperature wise I mean!

I went out yesterday with my D7100 and spent about 3 hours at 14f. I had no problems what so ever. I don't think I really even took a battery hit. 200ish clicks didn't use more than normal. The camera was on a tripod either upright or over my shoulder the whole time so it stayed pretty cold.

Which leads me to the question: how cold can it get before I need to take reasonable precautions?

I know people take their bodies into the arctic all the time with no problems (that I read about anyways).

It doesn't get much colder locally... Maybe -10f on a 'bad' day in January. Sometimes a bit lower. I'm just wondering where the "Don't worry about it" line should be drawn.

Thanks
