While taking fireworks this past week, I found that in Manual Mode, I can get to Bulb (or anything slower than 1/30 of a sec, such as 5" (5 Sec.), set at F-8, but, if I turn on LIVE VIEW the camera reverts to 1/30 of a sec. (F-stop stays the same.) If I then turn LIVE VIEW off, I have to re-set the speed to Bulb, (or anything lower than 1/30th of a sec.). Is this a quirk I need to live with, or is there a fix, so live view does not re-set the shutter speed. Thanks, DGSolution (new member)
The reason I mention movie mode is the 1/30 sec is the default movie mode shutter speed and the movie button is in the center of the LiveView lever. I suppose the movie button could be stuck. You might try pressing it a few times to see if that fixes the problem. If that's not the problem then I don't know what it could be.
Thank you Leonard62. Does not appear to be related to the movie button, as the movie button pushes and clicks easily, does not appear to be hung up. (movie action starts and stops as you push or un-push the button, just normally.)
