Today was the first day out with my new D7100.
I usually shoot RAW, but I decided to assess the camera on its "out-of-the-box" JPG files.
So, the three attached photos are using the camera defaults, and not retouched in Photoshop in any way.
All three photos are using Aperture Priority mode with the Nikkor 18-300mm DX lens and matrix metering at various ISOs. All used natural light - no flash.
I really like the results so far. The camera feels very solid and the shutter feels a touch more responsive than the D300.
Admittedly a very limited test, but at this point in time, I am happy with my selection.
