D7000 Interval Timer Exposure Problems
I had some major issues with my camera yesterday using interval timer shooting. I'm documenting a track car build with a friend and myself, using 10 sec interval frames, that will be eventually compiled into a video.
Yesterday i ran into an issue, which i haven't had before. After setting the camera into Aperture Priority mode, interval timer to 999 frames of 10 sec interval, the exposure was completly wrong.
The first frame came out fine, and then the next few hundred were near pitch black, with one properly exposed randomly every couple hundred photos (all without stopping the camera's timer)
My settings were:
Aperture priority: F/4
ISO: 400 / Auto ISO OFF
Center Weighted Metering
0 Exposure compensation

Thanks for the comment Rocky.
I did not use the eyepiece cap. That could explain it. Especially the random correct exposures. Might have walked behind the camera and blocked the bright light causing it to expose correctly.
I will use a cap and try again. Thanks so much for the help.
