i seem to have a problem with setting the LCD of my D7000. My preview is much brighter than my monitor and my printer show. Changing the LCD brightness doesnt help since it just dims the whole LCD screen making the bright areas kind of grayish.
is there anyway i can change the contrast and the rightness of the LCD screen?

The monitor on the back of the camera isn't intended to be a 'print' preview.
Even the full-size desk monitors need to be calibrated for such a purpose. This ability isn't given to the camera's screen.
I hate when people ask me what I see myself doing in 5 years...... I don't have 2020 vision!

i thought that there might be some hidden settings somewhere, since i searched alot and dint find any settings to change this. Im surprised though that there is such a big gap between the image on the camera and the one printed...
thanx for the info!!!
