For those who use the D7000 for video, how well does the Live View AF-F tracking actually work. How would it compare to something like a Lumix DMC-FZ150 with a smaller sensor. Do you tend to focus manually or let AF work.

I have used the Lumix above for some surf vides, and had pretty good results. Generally my wife shoots stills with our D300, and then we switch to the Lumix if we want to shoot video.

Don't have the money for a D4 or D800, is it worth getting a D7000 if you want to shot occasional video and lots of stills. Would they be any better than what I can get from the Lumix and it's built in lens that gets you to 600mm with the a smaller sensor.
