question,will high a iso max sensitivty i.e. 6400 cause spots ?
alright i posted earlier about possible spots on sky pics,or white walls showing a round dark spot,i dont think its oil, filter over sensor looks spotless...i read in d.darrels book that he sets his max iso sensitvity to 1600...i tried that( i had mine set to 6400)...now i dont see the spot like i use to see in white backgrounds, sky shots etc...any possibility this could be the culprit? thanks

Just plain looking at the sensor won't reveal all the dust. You need a special magnifier to really see it all.
If the spot is always in the same place on every image, it's dust on the sensor.
I hate when people ask me what I see myself doing in 5 years...... I don't have 2020 vision!

With your ISO set to 6400 the camera needed to set a larger aperture number to keep from blowing out the scene. At ISO 1600 the camera needs to open up the aperture to let more light in to have a proper exposure again.
Dust on the sensor will become more prominent when the aperture is closed down. The visibility of the dust is related to the aperture but the ISO setting will change the aperture and or the shutter speed.
Set your camera to A mode F18, set the focus to manual and move the focus ring to infinity. Point your camera at the sky or some white uniform surface (even an empty document or browser window will do. Now you will see if you have dust on your sensor.
