"Save/Load Settings" Doesn't Save U1/U2 - that surprised me!
Many of you guys may already know this..... but after many days of trying to setup my own "scene" modes saved to card, I've discovered that "Save/Load Settings" doesn't save both U1 or U2 to card. In fact it saves neither of them. Seems that I, along with numerous others (including some big names), have made the flawed assumption that it did....
Have a look here for more information: http://ccgi.martindbaker.plus.com/wordpress/?p=367
I've spoken to Nikon UK and suggested they create a document/web post/whatever that explains it all. Also suggested that they change the firmware..such that there is only 1 Save....U1/U2 or card. The suggestions have "gone in the pot".....
BTW: This website is a "work-in-progress", it's not up yet fully - so expect www.everythingd7000.co.uk to work in a few days, the look/feel/template to change, and a lot more content to be added.
Any "constructive feedback" on the website welcome...

Welcome to Nikonians!
I'm afraid the "Saving U1/U2" thing isn't news to us - it was discussed in this thread last month. Likewise the issue with some Sigma lenses and Live View that your blog mentions

Just to let people know - www.everythingd7000.co.uk is now up.
Constructive criticism welcome - though please remember that it is very much a work in progress at present - so expect lots more content, more advanced articles etc over the next months.
