Well the weather wasn't as nice as it was supposed to be, no morning sunlight or golden hour, but at least no rain. Just a dim, dull gray day. Looks like summer is over in the PNW.
Never-the-less, we had a nice turnout, with plenty of Herons, a Egret, an Eagle, the usual cast of geese, ducks and gulls, a few Otters and several Seals. All in all, not bad on the wildlife side, and a good number of Nikonains as well.
Lesson learned: A D800e, Sigmonster, and low light are not a good combination. Should have used the D3s as noise from the D800e was not good over ISO 1400. Next time!
Thanks to all who got up early to make it, especially those of you would had a long drive.
