I was looking at the B&W Magazine contest rules, and it says to save images "in grayscale (NO RGB) as jpeg files." I tried to print a photo as a JPEG file in the print module, but the only choices I could find in the color management pull down were RGB-based. Can someone clear up my confusion, and tell me how to save in grayscale with no RGB? Thanks in advance.
'Convert to grayscale' is notoriously not the best color-to-b/w conversion. I'm surprised a magazine would so specify. I'd mind the warning that Mode>Grayscale gives --- perform your conversion via Adjustments>Black&White, THEN convert to Grayscale.
>Thanks, but that is a Photoshop process, correct? I only use >Lightroom - is there an equivalent process?
RE Ernesto's reply above - In the Develop module, top of the Basic tab, click on Grayscale(I think, I don't have it in front of me right now.) It works similar to the B&W adjustment layer in Photoshop - you can adjust each colour for grayscale luminance as well as other develop adjustments.
