I've just learned that one of my photographs from Pagani Ranch in Sonoma Valley (planted 1884) will be published in Jancis Robinson's The American Wine Book in a section dedicated to California heritage vineyards.

Hi Dean, There are a lot of reasons why so few of these historic gems remain, and it's a shame to be since despite their beauty, they blends in these fields are unique to California. Definitely the windows for shooting these vines are small, and Springtime right after pruning and before new shoot growth is my favorite!
