This is my first post so please forgive me if i have posted in the wrong section!

I have a question about recording video on the Nikon D5000. I'm not very educated when it comes to cameras so simple answers would be appreciated haha!

Im trying to record a short film for a uni project using this camera, but when i go to play the footage back on my computer it's not as clear as i would of hoped for, it's kinda snowy? It takes beautiful crystal clear images, but when it comes to video its just not that great... Please keep in mind im using natural sun lighting inside my house.

I had a look through the settings to see if there was anything i could change to improve it, but like i said im very uneducated and i didnt really know what i was doing.

Could someone please let me know, the best settings to use to get the best quality footage possible on this camera!
