I have such a lens, and was not too happy with it, because it used to be soft at the edges - I already posted about this on this forum. I know some other owners also have this problem, therefore this post:

I got it checked and adjusted by Nikon Germany - 100% improvement!
It now shows some edge softness only when fully shifted - have to check more carefully, but I think it is if anything less than what it was before when not shifted.

As I have read before about this, and some owners complain about edge softness and others don't, I suspect this is a frequent issue with this lens, and I just would like to advice those who have this issue to try and get their lens checked.
