Thanks to all the advice on this forum regarding the camera and the use of older lenses with the camera I ordered the D700 a couple of days ago. I ordered it from Adorama for the price of $2319.95 with free shipping. It should be here next week and already my wife is reading everything she can on the camera. She has her own studio and pro lab and is looking forward to the FX format since she really likes the 85mm 1.8 but it was a little too much with her Fuji S5. She plans to keep the S5 as a much loved alternative for portraits. She particularly looks forward to the low light capability of the D700 since she regularly shoots covers and spreads for a magazine covering high school sports and University basketball. She got this camera, an Acer 8.9" mini laptop with 1 gig ram, 120 gig HD, and Windows XP and I got--------let's see----I got a robe
