In some situations I notice some vignetting with my 28/2.8 AIS on the D700. Does the D700's in-camera 'vignetting control' function with MF lenses? (I usually leave it in the 'high' position, for use with the 70-200/2.8.) So far it seems to have no effect with the 28, and sometimes not even enough effect with the 70-200(?)

I can find no detailed information on how this feature actually works, and in which situations it is or isn't effective.
(It seems to work only in conjunction with NX2, which is fine, if that's the case.) Can anyone help pin this down for me?

thanks!
