Hi guys and gals,

I've been having AF and soft image problems since December. Well, to make a long story short, I was doing some AF testing yesterday with my D700 and a Sigma 150-500 lens. As I was wondering why I can't get a sharp image in Live View mode, I take a closer look and I notice a pulsing of the image in LV, yet I'm not pushing any buttons or anything. It's like it's trying to acquire focus *on it's own*.

Here's a video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxSS5aKJRRs

Settings: Camera is on a tripod, looking out an open window at a paper target about 70 feet away. ISO 400, Manual mode - f/6.3, 1/640, single-servo, AF off, stabilization off, Live View.

Any ideas?

I'm REALLY hoping this is the answer to my AF troubles.

Bill
