I always shoot RAW but have been attempting recently to produce a menu using Vivid picture control to get everything right in camera for that bank so that the RAW required as little adjustment as possible as I see it.

I invariably set WB to Auto in camera but almost always change it to cloudy or shade in Capture NX2 for the bright conditions I mostly shoot in.
OK I can change it post but I was wondering how close Auto really is to say the daylight setting?

For my purposes I could eliminate a step by setting cloudy in camera.
