My D-700 has been re-setting the file numbering sequence to 0001 after formatting the card. I've set and re-set the "File Number Sequence" (d6) to "On" without success. It started doing this after creating a new folder. I've tried everything including Nikon tech support (they told me the obvious - reset File Sequence d6 to On.) I've read a few things can cause this, including removal of battery without turning the camera off Does anyone have this problem or a solution?

Steve -- It's usually a minor thing that we do incorrectly when the darned things won't do as we wish. Here's a link to Darrell Young's blog on this. Try it, carefully following his method. Good luck!

Just out of curiosity, what happens if you reset the folder name back to "100"?
