I bought a Sandisk CF 2GB Extreme III card. The manual says that the camera supports type I CF and not type II. How can you tell one type from the other? My card will not format on D700, either thru the menu or the 2 button method. I tried it on a D200 as well and it won't format as well. I thought it was a defective card, so I put another one in and it still won't format. I can still take pictures but I would feel more secure if I could format the card thru the camera rather than deleting the pics after transfering it to the computer.
Any thoughts?
