Hi,

I got my D700 on Aug 29 and yesterday, after not even a month and taking few thousands shots, I realized two hot pixels. They are visible only at high ISO, but this is the setting I use most frequently. I am sure that this camera was a brand new one, because I checked the number of actuations when I got it.

Is there any correlation between the lenses and/or exposure conditions used and the appearance of hot pixels?

The same happened to my D40x after few months, but after sending it to Nikon it has been repaired. In the description they put that the sensor has been replaced, which was difficult to believe for me, but maybe it was true.

What are your experiences?

Regards,
Peter
