Use of Nikon D700 with Metz Mecablitz 76 MZ-5 Digital Flash
I would like to use my Nikon D700 with my Metz Mecablitz 76 Mz-5 digital flash. I own a Nikon SCA 3402-M7 flash adapter, but have been informed by Metz Technical Support that I should use the SCA 3402-M8 for best results. Mr. Roland Laemmerman, Metz, Technical Support, has stated, that the SCA 3402-M7 can be updated to an M8 by a firmware update.
There is no mention of the M8 firmware update on the Bogen site. Has anyone heard of it?

Mr. Kevin V. Lackey, Bogen Imaging, Inc., Technical Support Supervisor, has informed me that you can send your SCA module directly to their repair department, with a brief not asking for the complimentary SCA reprogramming for the D3 and D700. The following information may be useful:
