I just purchased a Hahnel Giga T Pro ll interval timer and wireless remote control. I hooked it up to my camera and I have both receiver and transmitter set on the same channel. I half way press the button to focus (it wont) the lights on both turn green so it is communicating. I then press the button all the way down to take the shot nothing happens. Does anyone know what step I missed??

I have the same problem having just purchased the same remote. Hahnel have confirmed that my setup is correct (single shot and channel), but couldn't give advice re any other D700 settings. Does anyone know if there are any additional camera settings to be made? Cheers.
I found out my problem. The wire that you plug into the transmitter on the hot shoe make sure you push it in until you hear a click. I did not push it in all the way. I felt like a dummy when I discovered the simple problem.
Thanks for the tip - problem solved! You need to use some force to click it in, which you would not normally do for fear of breaking it. I will pass the info on to Hahnel to include in their FAQ. Thanks again.
