White dots with my new D700???

Hi Guys,

I have a bizarre thing going on with my new D700 and a 50mm/1.8D lense.

Here's 2 pics of the sky taken 3 seconds apart in manual mode with the same settings.

ISO: 200
A: F16
S: 1/160

First pic is clean, second pic have a lot of white dots in the upper section...

Is it what people call hot or struck pixel? If it's dust, it would have been on the 2 pictures? Never seen this with my D70s, so I'm confused...

So, what do you think it is?

Still amaze by the D700 but if mine have a problem I'll have it exchange?
