Long exposure noise reduction problem

I've posted this problem on "hot pixels being replaced by black pixels" in the D3 section, but since the D700 uses the same sensor it may be applicable to this camera as well.

I would like to know whether this is an isolated problem or a general problem affecting both the D3 and the D700. In case of an isolated problem I may have to send in my camera since it's still under warranty.

Please share your experiences.
