Doh! Never mind. . learn something new every day. I didn't realize that the shutter speed control goes up to x sync after you descend below bulb.

I was playing around with the FP sync mode with my D700 and SB800, now I can't get a shutter speed beyond X320 in any mode even with the flash removed from the camera. The X sync symbol stays on. Custom and Shooting resets don't have any effect. I can't imagine what I've done to foul things up since the only change I made was to the flash sync speed. Returning it to the default 250 had no effect. Any ideas? Thanks.
