I switched over to the D700 from a Canon 40D. I purchased and own a Sigma 150-500 for the Canon and will be selling it to purchase one for my D700.
The questions are based on whether either of these lenses are going to be compareable w/ the full frame sensor and the pros/cons of the 50-500 vs. 150-500.
What I do know is the 50-500 does not have VR and the 150-500 does. Conversely the 50-500 is 4-6.3 and the 150-500 is about 2/3 less, at 5-6.3.

I like the idea of having a wider range and wider aperture...

Any other ideas or input on the two lenses.

thx,

doug
