Members of this forum might be interested in an article in today's (April 11, 2009) New York Times business section by Anne Eisenberg about a digital security camera that uses 5 smaller sensors instead of one large, expensive one to achieve a 180 degree view. The focal point of the image can be changed after the image is captured. The article made me wonder if this isn't where digital cameras are headed as the years go by. I'm not suggesting that this will change anyone's photographic life anytime soon; I just thought others might find this article interesting. (nytimes.com) The moderator might wish to move this post to another forum. I couldn't see one that was a better match than this D700 forum.
