Bracketing with 2 stop increments

I stumbled onto a way to set the D700 to bracket 2 stops at a time. So you can shoot 3 exposure burst with -2, 0 and +2 EV. It's a little complicated and counter intuitive so bear with me. First, set the D700 EV step (setting b2) to 1 step. Then turn on easy exposure compensation (not on auto reset). Just to be sure, you must have Auto bracket set E5 set to AE only. Mode set to A so you can ignore E6 and the order doesn't matter so ignore E7 too. Remember you have to set one of your buttons to Bracket. I use the Func button.
