Two weeks in China on a photo tour with a 'pro' photographer who organized and led the trip and a Chinese/American guide, Yulan who Fluent in Chinese and English and did the bookings through her travel agency.

The pro was busy getting his own photos and had little time for us. If he was asked, he'd review images on the back of the camera. His advice was usually something like this: "We will be in this area for three hours, go shoot, look for details. See you back at the van in three hours."

However, this trivial detail is nothing in retrospect. He let a man die. Bill Prosser was a man in good health, fit and robust. He was 76, and used a walking stick. Some of you might have known him. He was a member of a camera club in Maryland. He became ill on September 19 and died on September 23. Each day he got worse and worse. The tour leaders ignored him and pressed on with their itinerary. The three men in the tour each told the leader and the guide that Bill needed medical help. On the day he died we flew to Shanghai, I told Corey that Bill needs a hospital, I asked him to take him. Corey refused. Bill died in the van en-route to our next city.
