D800 and color management on the Internet
Hi ! I recently bought the Nikon D800 and I'm facing a new problem : the colors of my photos in Bridge and Photoshop are amazing, when I send it by email to people they more or less see the same colors as the original ones BUT when I put it on the Internet the colors fades away and everytghing turns pale ...
I had the same problem with the D5000 and then I discovered I needed to "save for web" in photoshop.I did it with my D800 pictures and it just didn't change anything ...
I already tried a lot of thing (changing the mode and putting it in SRVB and so on ) but nothing seems to work and I still can't put my pictures on my website ! !
Can anyone help me ?
I work with Photoshop CS6 and my photos are always in raw.

it's a bit odd that nobody has replied yet. I don't have Photoshop so I cannot directly help you.
Anyway, are you sure it is not your 'computer/display/browser/color profile' combination which plays tricks? Do you think it would be possible for you to take a screenshot with Photoshop and web browser side-by-side plus the same image "saved for web" (in sRGB color profile) for us to see how the images look in our computers?
I run Windows and have an HP LP 2480zx display here and I cannot use the full color space (much larger than Adobe RGB or sRGB) supported by the display for a very simple reason: Windows desktop manager and applications like web browsers do not generally support color profiles. The colors in all icons, images, etc. show very bright (especially reds). Lightroom is an exception; if I change the color space from the display's settings to 'Full', I need to restart Lightroom but after that it shows the images correctly again. Rest of the applications just ignore the color space and assume sRGB (I think). I remember reading Mozilla Firefox would support color spaces but have not yet tried it. I mostly use MS IE.
Wrote the story above just in case you might have similar problems.

Are you using a Mac or PC? Do you calibrate your monitor?
You are correct in changing your color space to srgb when you upload it to the web.
Because you're not getting much response here in this forum, have you thought about asking this question in the D800 forum?
