Hi -

I'm having trouble printing the attached portrait. I've cropped it, because the hair is the main problem - I ends up looking very metallic, not quite posterized (not sure of the spelling of that work) but definitely odd.

The picture started out as a Kodak TCN (C-41 processing) neg (which I've not had trouble with before), scanned on a Coolscan 4000. I did the "darkroom" work in PS5.5, and I've played with different unsharpen levels but it doesn't make any real difference.

I've selected "grayscale" on the printer, Epson natural color, and "color" printing. I'm using Epson semi-gloss paper.

I don't know if I've inadvertently changed a setting, but I can't figure out what the problem is. I had a similar problem with a scanned Scala slide, and I thought maybe that was due to the film. But, now I think I have something set improperly, but I don't know what.

Thanks -
