I am looking for some help selecting the ultimate printer. I really do not care if it is Ink or Laser, but I am looking for excellent resolution, vibrant colors and amazing detail, reliability and speed. I plan not to exceed $2000 US dollars.

I would get an Epson Stylus 1280. They sell in the $300-$500 US range. Frankly laser printers aren't ususally near as good as a high end ink jet for photographic output. This will allow 13 inch x very long(depends on the paper you can find) full bleed prints. This will give a great color gammut. Your choice does depend somewhat on the actually usage. e.g. how big of a print, how many prints etc.

Thanks for the suggestion. After I had posted my message, I actually decided to look closer at the other postings, and they seem to agree with you, so I will now check out the Epson. Besides it will be a lot less expensive than a laser printer.
