Where'd my Epson ink monitoring go???
Have had my Epson R3000 up and running smoothly on a wireless network for about a year, but can never seem to get the ink levels to show up on my computer screen. They show up on the little printer screen just fine, but it doesn't seem capable of passing that info back to the computer.
It's not a huge deal except for the fact the printer screen can be diffult to read because of it's size.
The Epson.net software is installed, but that doesn't seem to help much.
Am obviously missing something here, but can't imagine what.

Another way to hook up your printer for wireless printing is through a router with wireless capability. NetGear N300 model WNR2000 router for example. Set up the router for both wired and wireless connectivity. Hook the printer up to the router with an ethernet cable. Yes, the printer is hardwired with its Wi-Fi shut down. Now you can access the printer wired or wirelessly. Since it's wired on the same network as your PC you will be able to get the ink levels on the computer. I have a Epson printer set up this way and it works great from either a wired desktop, wireless laptop, Wi-Fi tablet, etc. Both wired and wireless PC's let me look at ink levels.
I would like to think that since the R3000 is more sophisticated than the Artisans that it would show ink levels in the wireless mode as well.
