Color Management - setting up from scratch
Can someone tell me (step-by-step) how to set up Color Management properly for use with Capture NX2 and Photoshop CS5? I've got a ColorMunki Photo and a Windows 7 machine.

You don't really need to set up color management. instead you follow a color managed workflow. Windows is color mangement compliant so the basis is already there. It is important to set the color working space you want to use in your imaged editing programs and how you want those programs to handle color space mismatches when handling your image files. This is basically the essence of color mangement. That would be on the input side. For output you want to convert the target image to the destination space. For the web and most general computer display use that would be sRGB. For print that would be the color space of your printer/ink/paper combination. In this latter case you would accomplish this by using the corresponding ICC paper profile usually provided by either the printer manufacturer, paper manufacturer, or via a custom made profile. If you want to read an excellent multi-part tutorial I refer you to this series of articles by Bob Johnson who was a Nikonian in high standing in the past. Although written a few years ago with examples of older versions of programs the principles are the same.
