Slide duping - D700 or Epson V750

I originally posted this in the D700/D800 section, but I thought this was the best place for it.

There was some talk about using a D800 for slide duping vs a dedicated scanner. I thought I'd put together a quick comparison with my D700 so that you can see what I found. For the equipment I used see the description on the flicker link below. Before you start attacking me that this is not scientific enough and holds no merit, I feel it at least gives you an idea of what you might come up with. I don't have access to a Nikon 9000 scanner or a Hasselblad X1. I used what I had at my disposal. Looking at the physical slide with an 8x loupe, though, it appears that all the details are there.

The Epson V750 results took me about 8 minutes to get while the D700 took as long it took me to put the slide in the slot and press the shutter release.
