My Epson R3000 is one week old. Although all nozzle check prints indicate no missing lines the printer apparently randomly starts what to me appears to be a purge or nozzle clear cycle. Certainly the ink levels go down.

The manual gives no information on this at all.

In addition the manual makes no mention of the effect (on the printer) to selecting any auto-power off setting, i.e. would any of the three settings cause the printer to carry out a purge/nozzle clear cycle.

I have made light use of the printer every day.

Has anyone any clue as to why this would be happening?
