I have an Epson 4800 and find myself cleaning the head quite often like every 3 months. I'm wondering if this is normal, I also have a 3800 and rarely have to bother with head cleaning. At work I use a Epson 9800 and 4880 and clean the heads maybe twice to three times a year. I know there are many conditions and variables that equate to the proper care and feeding of print heads but, It just makes me wonder about this particular printer I have at home. I installed a new head and did a complete refurbish on it 6 months ago. At work we have 9800's, a 4800, 4880 and a 7900. We clean the heads maybe twice to three times a year and they run almost every day in fact on of the 9800's does run every day printing large posters. I have been told that improper humidity will cause heads to clog very easily but I have not read anything to support this claim. What do you guys and gals think might be the problem?
