YAY! Staples finally recycles Epson cartridges!
For months I've bee piling up my empty Epson R1800 cartridges. I tried all my local office supply stores and even posted on Nikonians to find a place to recycle my empties with no avail. I was even willing to forgo the $3 most stores will give you for your empites just to recycle them.
I'm glad I've been saving the over 50 empties I have. I was at my Staples yesterday and was informed by the teller that they now take all brands....even Epson! I tested it today with the monthly limit of 10pc and had no problem. In a few days I will be sent a rebate check for the $30. I beleive it's still a check to be only used in Staples but heck..... I'm there all the time and will spend it easily. So I'm doing my part in recycling and getting a bit in return. Good job Staples, finally!

That's great news, I have a small mountain of carts myself. Are you sure they are going to send you a rebate check? I thought they only issue a $3 off coupon and only one coupon can be used per purchase.

Yes, for the past couple of months they no longer give coupons with empties. They mail a rebate (store check) to you in about a week or 2. I've gotten a few rebate checks since they've been doing this. Just make sure it's on your receipt (it will show how many u turned in) and that they have an adress for you. So I turned in 10 pcs. X $3, I will get a $30 store check.
