My good-old reliable 950 has just started misbehaving and I've not got a clue whats wrong.
I am getting alternate flashing ink and paper lights on the printer, with a "General Error" message on screen.
This was during a print run of rough happy-snap shots for the family and immediately after replacing the light magenta cartridge. The screen tells me to turn everything off, leave it a few minutes and turn on again. That achieves nothing, even after leaving it off for 2 hours.
Anyone come across this before? Or do I need to get hold of my friendly soul at Epson (I always seem to get the same one).

I've received a reply from Epson, it seems that this error message can indicate either some foreign object in the works, or an ink cartridge not seating properly.
Given that I'd just replaced the light magenta cartridge, it's the second one for sure.
I'm told the answer is to "remove and reseat the cartridges". How I go about that I have no idea so have requested guidance. I've also expressed my wish to have any faulty cartridges (or new ones that have to be discarded) replaced by Epson.
If the "reseating" doesnt fix it, then its an Epson Service job. Except it will be a new replacement instead, cos I fancy an A3 pigment ink archival printer. Anyone want some 950 carts?
