2200 gives different results from different Adobe progr

When the same RGB image is printed from within PhotoShop, InDesign and PageMaker the results are three totally different prints. The PhotoShop image is perfect, the PageMaker print is too magenta, the InDesign result is too cyan. Contrast also varies amongst the three.
Could this be because the page layout programs are expecting CMYK images rather then RGB? Any input would be appreciated.
