As an amateur who periodically shoots weddings I am always on the lookout for helpful advice on the topic. Steve Sint's book Wedding Photography is easily the most helpful book I have found on the topic. It has not only improved my wedding photography, but my photography in general. The book is great in every respect, but for me the most helpful chapter is one on posing people -- 1-up, 2-up, 3-up and more. You may be familiar with Steve Sint's columns in Popular Photography. This book is written in the same engaging and accessible style. He explains things clearly without ever talking down to the reader. He appreciates the artistic side of photography but also reminds us of what the typical buyer of our photos is likely to want. There are many fine books available on wedding photography, and I believe I have read or read through most of them. This book is simply the best of the lot.
