After shooting pictures with a Nikon flash unit last night, I recharged the partially discharged AA batteries. The result was that 3 of the 4 batteries accepted a ~260mAH charge (and ~1.46V at completion), but one accepted nearly 1200mAH (1.44V at completion). The batteries are 2600mAH rated, and were charged at 800mA rate.

Why might this be?
